SBS has released new stills of Lee Je Hoon from the upcoming second season of “Taxi Driver”!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Taxi Driver” tells the story of a mysterious taxi service that delivers justice and revenge on behalf of victims who cannot get help from the law. After its first season had a successful run with its interesting concept of taxi drivers doubling as villain hunters, the series will be returning for a second season next month.

Lee Je Hoon plays the role of Kim Do Gi, a driver at the Rainbow Taxi agency who specializes in hunting down and punishing villains on behalf of their victims as a sort of “taxi hero.” The actor received positive reviews for his performance in the first season, which showcased his skills in pulling off intense action scenes involving combat and cars. Not only that, he earned the nickname “N Do Gi” for being able to deliver several fun sub-characters every time Kim Do Gi went undercover.

In the new stills from Season 2, Kim Do Gi is being held in solitary confinement in prison. Instead of his signature short haircut, he has hair that has grown long and bushy enough to cover his eyes, and he is wearing a prison uniform rather than his trademark bomber jacket. These elements all come together to give him an unparalleled aura that he didn’t have in Season 1.

Above all else, Kim Do Gi is doing physical training alone in solitary confinement, and his wild side is accentuated by his toned muscles, which appear to have been carved by a sculptor. These changes beg the question of what has happened to Kim Do Gi since the end of Season 1—and what’s coming up ahead in Season 2.

The production team commented, “Lee Je Hoon is doing his very best every moment on set, based on his special love for the ‘Taxi Driver series. From his acting to making the piece come alive visually, he has a tremendous amount of passion to deliver an even more complete and high-quality season than Season 1. In Season 2, you will be able to enjoy much more memorable action sequences and a variety of even more amusing performances in Lee Je Hoon’s ‘N Do Gi Series.’ Please look forward to it.”

“Taxi Driver 2” will premiere on February 17 at 10 p.m. KST.
