In “Work Later, Drink Now 2,” Super Junior’s Choi Siwon Displays A Variety Of Faces

Choi Siwon is back with another season of “Work Later, Drink Now”!

Based on a popular webtoon, “Work Later, Drink Now” tells the story of three women whose life philosophies revolve around having a drink after getting off of work. Lee Sun Bin stars as television writer Ahn So Hee, Han Sun Hwa plays yoga instructor Han Ji Yeon, and Apink‘s Jung Eun Ji plays origami YouTuber Kang Ji Goo. Super Junior‘s Choi Siwon also stars as Ahn So Hee’s co-worker Kang Book Goo.

Previously, Choi Siwon captivated audiences with his comical yet realistic portrayal of the eccentric variety show-producing director (PD) Kang Book Goo along with his messy hair and beard. Viewers are already anticipating the actor’s return in the new season.

Choi Siwon shared, “Honestly, it doesn’t feel real that it’s Season 2. I think that’s because ‘Work Later, Drink Now’ and the character Kang Book Goo still feel very close to me even after one year has passed.”

Despite his programs being discarded or having to work on a pre-existing program, Kang Book Goo doesn’t care about others’ opinions and lives his life his way. Last season, he planned a new program with Ahn So Hee, and this season, he will finally succeed in launching his own program.

On the new season, Choi Siwon shared, “The deeper emotions and storyline of Kang Book Goo will be depicted. Kang Book Goo’s narrative is unraveled in great detail, so viewers will be able to greatly immerse into the character.”

The newly released stills capture three vastly different expressions of Kang Book Goo. In one photo, he looks near tears with his arms wrapped around his legs while sitting on the stairs, while another still depicts him smiling so brightly that he practically lights up the entire room with his refreshing energy. A third photo captures him spreading out a blanket using both arms, raising anticipation for his eventful life in the second season.

To conclude, Choi Siwon shared, “Everyone, how does waiting until December 9 sound? Hahahaha.”

“Work Later, Drink Now 2” will premiere on December 9.
